US Releases Names of 24 Nigerians Facing Deportation

News

The United States has turned up the heat on immigration enforcement, releasing the names of 24 Nigerian nationals arrested by immigration authorities over alleged criminal offences.

The dramatic move comes as President Donald Trump’s administration intensifies its nationwide crackdown on immigration, with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) carrying out arrests across multiple states.

According to the report, the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) published a list identifying the Nigerians, the alleged offences linked to their cases and the locations where they were arrested.

The allegations range from wire fraud, money laundering and identity theft to drug-related offences, weapons violations and assault.

Some of the individuals are accused of financial crimes, while others face allegations involving drugs, stolen property and other offences.

Here are the 24 Nigerians named in the report and the allegations listed against them:

Immigration crackdown gathers momentum
The release of the names and photographs underscores the Trump administration’s hard-line approach to immigration enforcement, as federal authorities continue operations across the United States.

However, the allegations listed against the individuals should not be taken as proof of guilt. The publication of their names also does not, by itself, establish that deportation has been completed or is legally final in each case.

The development adds another chapter to Washington’s intensifying immigration crackdown, with Nigerian nationals among those identified in the reported enforcement action.
