Huhuonline.com understands that the former Director of Defence Information, Rabe Abubakar, and his wife have been abducted by suspected bandits in Katsina State.
The couple were reportedly travelling towards Katsina on Saturday when gunmen intercepted their vehicle in Matazu Local Government Area and took them away.
Abubakar Aliyu, spokesperson of the Katsina State Police Command, confirmed the incident.
He said the Police has already launched a manhunt to rescue the general and his wife
Aliyu said: “The attack occurred at about 11a.m. on Saturday when the assailants, armed with dangerous weapons, intercepted a red Peugeot 406 saloon, carrying the general and his wife and traveling along the route”.
